3 migrant workers buried while installing sewage pipes in Haryana

Hisar, Haryana:

Three migrant workers from Bihar died in a mudslide while installing sewer pipes in Kapro village in the district’s Narnaund subdivision on Thursday, a senior official said.

Vikas Yadav, District Magistrate of Narnaund, said that sewer pipe installation work is being carried out near Indraj Park in Kapro village and the workers are working 10-12 feet underground.

At the same time, the soil suddenly slipped and all three were buried in the mud. Government and police rescued all three with the help of heavy bulldozers, but they were all dead by then, he said.

The official added that the dead had been identified as Baljeet, Santosh and Sanoj, all of whom were residents of Bihar state.
