Pregnancy is one of the most intense physical transformations. Almost every part of the body changes in some way. Women often experience appetite changes. Pickles and ice cream may be some of the most notorious food cravings you’ll ever experience, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Most women tend to stockpile their favorite foods for premature hunger pangs. But what if your family is sneaking after all your stocks? Something like this happened to a pregnant woman – tired of asking her husband not to finish her snacks – who ended up buying a separate fridge to lock her food in. Now, she shared the entire incident on Reddit, asking Reddit users if her actions were justified.

“I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant and my biggest pregnancy issue is fatigue, mainly appetite and hunger. I can’t seem to stay full no matter what I do. I eat all day and I still lost 3 lbs ,” she began her story. The Reddit user then talked about how she stopped at the store on her way home from get off work to buy her favorite snacks, like pizza, pickles, fruit (especially oranges, grapes, and watermelon), popcorn, chicken noodle soup, and String cheese, and more.
However, every time she went to check the refrigerator, almost all of the snacks were gone. The culprit: her husband, Paul (not named). Despite repeated warnings, the Reddit user said her husband devoured the treats and didn’t care to eat them again. “He said it wasn’t a big deal and I could get more. But it involved me (not him) stopping at the store more and me (again, not him) spending more money,” she added.
Although the pregnant woman ignored all his antics, she finally broke out after her favorite ice cream was targeted. The Redditor mentioned how her husband ate an entire side of ice cream, which was strawberry, and left her with vanilla and chocolate. FYI: Strawberries are her favorite part. Also, instead of apologizing for his actions, Paul told her to run to the store and buy some more.
Want to know what happened next? She ordered a large refrigerator for $2,300 (over $190,000), paying for it from her personal savings account. The woman said she and her husband – now married for 2 years – will not mix up their accounts. So Paul didn’t know she had bought a fridge until it arrived at their house two days ago. On top of that, the lady put a lock on the fridge to protect her snacks, much to the dismay of her husband.
The woman, who is 10 months pregnant, said: “I told him not to worry about how much it cost and that it had a lock on it to make sure he didn’t eat all my snacks for my cravings. He said I couldn’t control what he ate What, I told him no. I just control who eats my snacks, but the fridge in the house is open and he can eat whatever is in it and the cupboards, but the fridge in the garage is just for me.”

Although the woman said her snacks were safe and she hadn’t run to the store all week, her husband, Paul, didn’t speak to her for two main reasons: “Buying a lot of stuff without talking to him first , “food becomes war” (his words).
In the same post, she shared the latest news, which relieved the couple to be able to reconcile. She said Paul not only moved all of her snacks from the garage to their kitchen, but also sent her a card and flowers to apologize.

Redditors were clearly disappointed by Paul’s behavior, with many going so far as to call him “extremely selfish.”
“What bothers me is, after eating your food, he tells you to go out and buy more stuff. It’s some nerve. Why doesn’t he go out by himself and replace the food he took away? He sounds so selfish,” one user commented.
Another added: “After eating all the strawberry toppings with ice cream it’s clear he’s totally selfish. Who did that?”
Meanwhile, the person said, “So your perfectly capable adult husband is eating his pregnant wife’s snacks and then expecting you to go out and use his own money instead. He’s probably still alive.”
