Curran was released by Punjab Kings ahead of the 2020 season, but the speed bowling all-rounder, who had a reserve price of Rs 10 million, was eventually sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 55 million.

During England’s stunning 3-0 series win over Pakistan, Curran said the way the team played was simply fantastic.
“It’s crazy. Playing under (Test captain) Stokes and (manager) Brendon McCallum In the past, the way they played was amazing. It (streak) started in the summer and I thought, the best thing is that there were a lot of injuries, a guy like Jonny (Birstow) probably started the (streak) and came out and gave confidence, he missed (due to unusual injuries).
“(Now) you have Brooke (Harry Brook) came in and got three hundred dollars in Pakistan and he kind of said ‘how could Jonny come back’. It’s absolutely amazing,” Curran said.
“I think everyone thinks Pakistan is a very difficult place to visit. But to win, it’s a fantastic achievement.”
