Kuldeep is the man of the match in the first game against Bangladesh
Ex-India walker Dodda Ganesh slams India management for dropping game Kudeep Yadav Second Test against Bangladesh. Kuldeep, who took 8 wickets in the first Test, was also the player of the match but was knocked out when India decided to play Jeff Unacarter. Ganesh compares his case to Karen Nairwas dropped after scoring three hundred in Test cricket.
The 28-year-old left-arm wrist spinner had a career-best 5/40 stats in the first inning of the opening Test in Chittagong. When India beat Bangladesh by 188, he backed it up with three wickets in the second innings for a career-best match stat of 8/113.
However, he was replaced by Saurashtra seam bowler Jaydev Unadkat in the second Test in Mirpur on Thursday, leaving former Test bowler Dodda Ganesh wondering why the team management took such a decision.
Ganesh wondered why Kuldeep was being treated like this. “Why does this happen to Kuldeep Yadav so often? You can’t do this to him again and again. “Also, the way the Bangladeshi struggled to pick him in the last Test makes the decision to leave him out today all the more pointless and defies the logic of cricketing. Do you want your match-winner to warm up the bench?” he asked .
“I think think tanks need to be more considerate when dealing with youngsters who are doing well; and adjust the team mix accordingly. Last time they dropped Karun (Nair) because his 303 wasn’t in Hyderabad. Now, with Kuldeep Yadav together. Shocking. Ridiculous,” he added.
Kuldeep also contributed batting in the game, scoring 40 in the first inning.He was included in India’s squad for its third one-day international against Bangladesh after the fast bowlers Cudison with Deepak Chahar Ruled out due to injury.
