Flipkart enters home products services business
New Delhi:
E-commerce company Flipkart said on Thursday that it has entered the home product service segment by launching services such as repair, maintenance and installation of all electrical appliances on its app.
A few months ago, the company began a home product service pilot using the network of its service arm, Jeeves. These services will now be delivered at the customer’s doorstep through 19,000 codes, including pick-up and drop-off.
With this, Flipkart will compete with unicorn Urban Company and startups like Mr Right, OnSiteGo.
“At Jeeves, we continuously strive to provide efficient and customer-centric end-to-end after-sales services. We are aware of the challenges customers face in obtaining reliable after-sales services from unorganized offline service providers and launching home products on Flipkart Services on the app, customers can now get convenient, reliable and cost-effective after-sales service, backed by a service guarantee for home products,” said Nipun Sharma, CEO, Jeeves, Flipkart Group.
Jeeves has more than 300 on-site service centers, more than 1,000 service partners and approximately 9,000 highly trained engineers in 400 cities. PTI PRS HVA
