James Cameron reacts to Ryan Gosling’s old sketch in Avatar font: ‘It haunts me’

The filmmaker told BBC Radio 1, “It bothers me. Not really. It’s really funny. I’m surprised they spent so much money on a little movie vignette that revolves around a, You know, such a small concept. I’m okay, guys, we’re doubling down on that right now. We’re using Papyrus for everything.”

He also explained that he had no idea they were using the Papyrus typeface for the logo, which he actually thought was designed specifically for the film. “The funniest thing about the whole story is, I didn’t even know it was Papyrus, no one asked me! I just thought the art department came up with this cool font,” James Cameron said.
