When BCCI officials opened their mailboxes to check the resumes of potential National Selection Committee candidates, they were shocked to find applications from Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag. If that wasn’t enough, Pakistan captain Inzamam ul Haq has also raised his candidacy. It’s just that all these resumes are posted using the spam IDs of imposters looking to have some fun at the expense of BCCI. BCCI has received more than 600 email applications for the five-person selection panel, some from fake IDs claiming to be Tendulkar, Dhoni, Sehwag and Inzamam.
It is worth mentioning that the Cricket Advisory Committee is expected to shortlist from 10 names for these high-profile posts.

On Wednesday, the BCCI Apex committee was unable to clear the players’ central contracts because the selection committee had not yet been formed and its input was needed before the roster could be finalized.
The CAC, comprising Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjpe and Sulakshna Naik, appointed earlier this month, is expected to meet soon to complete the work.
