The company has made multiple rounds of price increases this calendar year. The last price increase was on November 21, when it raised the price of whole milk in the Delhi-NCR market by Rs 1 per liter and token milk by Rs 2 per liter.

This comes after Mother Dairy raised prices of whole milk and milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi NCR and some other markets in North India in October.

Prices have also been increased by Rs 2 per liter for all models in March and August.

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells milk under the Amul brand, is also a major player in the Delhi-NCR market. It sells nearly 4 million liters per day. India is the largest milk producer in the world with an annual milk production of approximately 210 to 220 million tons.
