India reported 196 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number of infections to 4,467,302. The country also recorded two new virus-related deaths in the past 24 hours.
The number of active cases in the country now stands at 3,428, according to the Union Health Minister.
Meanwhile, Delhi authorities issued an order on Monday that school teachers will be sent to Indira Gandhi International School (IGI) for Covid-19 duty during the winter break.
Public schools in Delhi will be on winter break from January 1-15, 2023, according to officials.
