At least 15 people have been injured, including three forest officials, in a series of attacks by leopards prowling in Assam.
Leopards have attacked forest officials and residents of the Rainforest Research Institute (RFRI), including women and children, in Jorhat, Assam, in the past 24 hours.
In a video taken by forest officials, the big cat can be seen walking around the campus. Another video shows the leopard jumping over barbed wire and attacking a four-wheeler.
RFRI is located on the outskirts of Jorhat, surrounded by forests, from where the leopards are believed to have invaded the campus.
Attempts were underway to capture and calm the big cat, officials said, adding that residents had been advised to stay indoors.
The injured have been taken to hospital where they are reported to be in stable condition, they added.
