Former Bihar chief minister Raru Yadhav returned to the capital on Saturday night after undergoing a kidney transplant in Singapore last December.
President Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is unwell and is receiving medical treatment in Singapore.
He arrived in Delhi on Saturday night, where he was received by his daughter Misa Bharti, a member of the lower house of parliament. Party sources said he would spend a few days with Misa in Delhi.
Earlier, his daughter Rohini Acharya, who donated a kidney to her father, shared on Twitter her excitement about Lalu Yadav’s return to India Heartfelt post.
After Rohini announced his return to India, he asked everyone to take care of his father.
“I’m doing my daughter’s duty. Daddy has recovered and I will send him among you. Please take care of Daddy,” she said.
Lalu Yadav, 74, was suffering from acute kidney complications and a kidney transplant was recommended. Rohini came forward as a donor.
The transplant was done on December 5 last year. The former Bihar CM is serving time for multiple feed fraud cases and is currently out on bail for health reasons.
