Airspace over Montana has now reopened (representative)
Montana:
Airspace over parts of Montana was closed on Saturday and a fighter jet was sent to investigate a “radar anomaly,” the U.S. military said, but the plane did not detect any anomalies in the sky.
NORAD and U.S. Northern Command issued a statement saying that NORAD “detected a radar anomaly and dispatched fighter jets to investigate. The aircraft did not detect any objects related to the radar hit.”
Officials “will continue to monitor the situation,” the statement added, just hours after a joint U.S.-Canadian operation shot down an object over Canada’s Yukon Territory.
