Flight to Turkey after unloading aid in Syria

The seventh Operation Dost flight arrived in quake-hit Syria on Sunday, carrying more than 23 tons of relief supplies, which were received at Damascus airport by Moutaz Douaji, the local government and environment deputy minister.
“The 7th #OperationDost flight arrived in Syria carrying more than 23 tons of relief supplies including generator sets, solar lights, first aid and intensive care medicines, and consumables for disaster relief. Moutaz Douaji, Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment received at Damascus airport These supplies,” the ministry’s external affairs spokesman Arindam Bagchi tweeted.
Saturday’s seventh Operation Dost flight was to quake-hit Syria and Turkey. The Indian Air Force C17 carrying relief supplies, medical assistance, first aid and intensive care medicines, medical equipment and consumables took off from Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Israeli Air Force planes carrying relief supplies, medical aid, first aid and intensive care medicines will first land in Syria and unload supplies before flying to Turkey. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also talked about the flight from Ghaziabad on his twitter.
He tweeted: “The 7th #OperationDost flight to Syria and Turkey. The flight was carrying relief supplies, medical assistance, first aid and intensive care medicines, medical equipment and consumables.”
The Indian Army also tweeted: “An #IAF C-17 aircraft landed in #Syria and #Turkiye last night carrying relief supplies and emergency equipment.”
Earthquake relief supplies and equipment have been sent to Syria and Turkey, the foreign ministry said. The flight was bound for Damascus, where relief supplies were unloaded before heading to Adana.
According to the foreign ministry, the flight was carrying more than 35 tons of relief supplies, of which more than 23 tons were destined for Syria and about 12 tons were destined for Turkey.
According to the foreign ministry, the aid provided to Syria included relief supplies, sleeping mats, generator sets, solar-powered lanterns, tarpaulins, blankets, first aid and intensive care medicines, and consumables for disaster relief.
The supplies shipped to Turkey include team supplies from Army field hospitals and NDRF, medical equipment such as electrocardiograms, patient monitors, anesthesia machines, syringe pumps, blood glucose meters, blankets and other relief supplies.
Relief supplies, medical equipment, medical aid and intensive care medicines were loaded onto IAF aircraft earlier in the day.

The death toll in Turkey and Syria reached 28,192 Saturday (local time) after Monday’s earthquake, according to CNN.
India launched Operation Dost to provide aid to Turkey and Syria following the devastating earthquake and aftershocks in the region.
Under Operation Dost, India is providing substantial humanitarian assistance to Turkey and Syria.
