Punjab police today arrested Amritpal Singh, a radical preacher and separatist who was at the center of massive protests against the arrest of his top aide last month . His supporters dubbed him “Bhindranwale 2.0”.

  1. The radical separatist leader, who has been active in Punjab for the past few years, is often seen escorted by armed supporters.

  2. Mr Singh leads ‘Waris Punjab De’, a militant organization Started by actor and activist Deep Sidhu, who died in a traffic accident last February.
