“RCB has signed New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell as a replacement for England batsman Will Jacks in the 2023 TATA Indian Premier League (IPL),” an IPL statement said on Saturday.

“Jack, who was ruled out due to injury, was bought by the team for Rs 3.2 lakh. His replacement, Bracewell, has played 16 T20Is, scoring 113 runs and taking 21 wickets. He will join RCB at his base price of Rs 1 crore,” the statement added.

After entering the IPL auction with a reserve price of Rs 1 crore, Bracewell failed to find any buyers. He has never played in the IPL.

RCB will start their IPL campaign against Mumbai Indians on April 2.
