for Kuala Lumpur Rahul, which is much-needed redemption. The talented hitter has been under fire for much of the past year. In all three formats, Rahul was unable to hit high marks, which led to huge criticism. However, everything changed on Friday. Rahul hit an unbeaten 75* to lead India to a five-goal win over Australia in the first ODI of the three-match series at home. Rahul came up to bat and India struggled at 16/3. He then saw India concede two more wickets in just 83 runs in 189 overs.
Rahul, however, kept his cool and struck his 13th half-century to bring India home.He participated in a booth of more than 100 ravindrajadya (45*). His performance was praised by all. He also received a special message from his wife, Athiya Shetty. “To the most resilient person I know… #klrahul,” Athiya wrote on her Instagram Story, along with a photo of Rahul and Jadeja.

Actors Athiya and Rahul, daughters of Suniel Shetty, were married in a close-knit ceremony on Jan. 24.
Rahul, who was out of form in the third and fourth Tests against Australia, was appreciated by the substitute captain Hardik Pandya also.
“I’m very proud of the way we played today. Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) came back and did what he was supposed to do after eight months away from ODI. I love my bowling and batting and would love to finish it, but the way KL (Rahul) and Jaddu hit the ball, which gave peace to those who were watching from the outside,” said Indian substitute captain Pandya, who was playing in Wankhede.
Rahul, who started mostly for India, was fifth after the Test defeat. But despite the reduced stack, he played patiently, hitting his fine 75 off 96 balls.
