The tweet angered many Twitter users, who took to the reply section to refute his claims.
As a comparison, he writes, “Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata… why are our above ground/elevated metro stations so unpretentious concrete eyesore? Look at Dubai (right) vs. Bangalore (left). And this Dubai The station is estimated to have been built 10 years ago!” He also shared photos of Dubai and Bangalore metro stations to underscore his point.

Many Twitter users criticized his statement and the tweet was not popular.
“Typical reaction from people who don’t appreciate their country,” one user reacted to his post, while another said, “Transportation doesn’t have to be pretty. If you read more about urbanism and urban planning Book, you’ll never, by the way, praise Dubai again. That city is an urban planning nightmare. The way the border offensive logic is built.”
A third wrote, ”Only if you look at ancient architecture in India. The only difference between then and now is that India had enough resources then. India also cannot spend money on aesthetics now if the cost is very low. “
Many also shared several beautiful and well-designed photos of several subway stations across the country to prove their point.

However, some netizens agreed with his statement. One user wrote, “Correctly pointed out. Our public infrastructure is not green, economical, or aesthetically pleasing, and much of it is unusable. Not just subway stations, but other public infrastructure as well. Today, private The architecture also completely screwed up the least important aesthetics.”
Another commented, “India’s metro stations lack artistic appeal, which leaves a lot to be desired. With such a rich cultural heritage, it’s a pity that the country’s public spaces aren’t more visually inspiring. Let’s expect a form A future where functions and functions can coexist.”
Notably, his tweet on the Bengaluru Metro came after the opening of the long-awaited Whitefield-KR Puram metro line (Purple Line). The 13-kilometer section is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 25.
